Where has the summer gone??
The last time I wrote was for our 8 year anniversary in June...crazy!!!
Our summer has been so busy! It started out in June with our trip to Florida for Alex's graduation! We decided to leave 2 hours before Jeremiah's bedtime thinking he'd sleep the whole night through. Wrong! He had such a hard time staying asleep in his car seat, we pulled over at a gas station at 10pm to recline his seat back further. He slept alright and then woke up and started throwing up all over the place. He continued to throw up until we got to florida...I lost count at number 13...poor baby! We arrived in Florida the afternoon of June 4th and relaxed for a bit and then went to Tristan's middle school graduation! Tristan got all dressed up in a suit and just looked so handsome! It was like his life flashed before my eyes...what happened to the little 3.5 year old I met for the first time in 2004? Jeremiah started getting cranky before the ceremony even started. I had him in the stroller so I ducked back in an empty classroom and cracked the door so I could still hear the speeches. Jeremiah was out like a light in no time! Once he was really out I walked back to where Matt was standing and got to watch Tris walk across the stage! I don't remember what we did that night but we got in to the hotel around 10pm. We got J a bath and he slept in bed with us...Thank God for king sized beds! Then around 7am he woke up puking again! I was seriously ready to take him to the emergency room. We got him cleaned up and gave him some water and he was back out again. We were supposed to go to a breakfast thing for Tristan but I just wanted J to sleep. I'm glad he did! He didn't wake for the day until 11am...poor guy was tuckered out! The other big event was Alex's graduation from high school! It was outside and the night couldn't have been more beautiful! J did great sitting there but got a little rowdy but oh well! The rest of the days kinda blurred together...we had Alex's birthday party, went to the beach a few times, spent a day in Destin, ate out, got to ride in Nick's convertible (coolest thing EVER), had lots of fun family times, had a girl/boy night, went mini-golfing and just had a good time!! The drive home was long but we broke up the drive and stayed the night in a hotel. We made it home safely and no puking!
Then we had our anniversary June 17th. July brought us 2 birthday parties, an annual fireworks show that we go to, Matt's birthday and our new van! August, we've been hanging out at home, doing projects around the house including turning our backyard to a child's haven! We now have a big wooden swingset, a huge sandbox and a kiddie pool! We also found out that we are expecting our third (2nd living) child! More about that soon! We also had our family pictures taken! For our anniversary my mom asked us what we wanted. I couldn't think of anything that we needed, so I asked for family pictures. I found a great photographer from a friend at church and on the evening of August 10th we had our pictures taken! They turned out so amazing and I will cherish them forever!
