News Flash: We have a crawler!

So in true Jeremiah fashion, just as I said he wasn't crawling yet, he decided to crawl the day after I made that last post. At first it took a lot of coaxing and cheering on, and he was very wobbly and toppled over a few times. Each time he crawls he gets more steady, goes a little further and it won't be long and he will be everywhere! I wrote it in his baby book but I'll write it here to. Jeremiah crawled at 10 months and 6 days old!

10 months!

It's hard to believe but we no long have a baby in the single digit months! The past month was kind of a rough one. We fought another bad cold followed by 2 weeks of unexplained diarrhea. I mean the kid was blowing out diapers almost every 2 hours and we pretty much went through his whole closet of clothes from messes. We did go to the doctor but of course they had no idea what was going on, even after testing his poo. Thank God we are finally over it! I won't even mention the temper tantrums that he's started when he's not getting his way...but lord have mercy! Developmentally, still no crawling but he is so very close! He knows how to get to where he wants by rolling and scooting so I really think he thinks he doesn't need to crawl! He does use us to pull up to a stand and can use furniture to pull up on his knees. He's had a couple bloody tongues from slipping in the tub...poor baby :( Jeremiah has 5 teeth, 4 on the bottom and 1 on top. I did see that the ...

Nebraska!

I've been meaning to write about our trip to nebraska since we've gotten back, but life keeps me busy! I finally have a moment while Matt is putting Jeremiah to bed. So we left for Nebraska on July 2nd, leaving our house at 5:30am. We got the car packed the night before so all we had to do was wake up, get dressed and head out. We let Jeremiah sleep right until we walked out the door and I just left him in his pjs. He was awake for awhile but fell asleep quickly. We got to my mom's house and dropped off our dog Bella, and one of the cat's Malachi. We were back on the road shortly. We drove for about 3 hours and stopped in Dubuque for breakfast. Then drove 4 more hours, had lunch at a rest area, and then we made it into Lincoln by 4pm. We got checked into our hotel and hit the pool for a bit. Jeremiah is half fish, so he of course loved it. That evening, we had time to kill so we went to The Sunken Gardens . I had always wanted to go and we had a good time strolling th...

Teething is no joke!

Sorry I haven't written in awhile! We've had quite the busy month since I last wrote! Jeremiah now has two teeth on the bottom! They are so super cute and yet, I wish I still had a toothless baby!  At the moment, he has another cold (doctor told us over the phone it may be allergies), and is teething I believe 3 teeth. I can't feel anything yet but the gums are fairly swollen in certain places. When Jeremiah first got his cold, it was back to sleeping in the recliner or in the spare room on the mattress on the floor, and waking every 2-3 hours. There was one night where we were both too uncomfortable to sleep in the recliner so we headed to the spare room. I was on the big mattress and Jeremiah was laying propped up on a futon mattress. Jeremiah had woken up in the middle of the night, so I brought him up to me to calm him down. He fell asleep in my arms and since the mattress is only for one person, there wasn't much room to leave me comfortable sleeping with him o...
